A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow at 1:30 PM at Levi’s Stadium to discuss the recent accomplishments of 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. John Lynch, the team’s president and general manager, praised Purdy’s leadership and success since being drafted as the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Purdy, who stands 6’1” and weighs 220 pounds, has made significant strides throughout his three-year career, playing in 40 games (36 starts) and achieving impressive stats: 1,069 passing attempts with a completion rate of 67.5%, 9,518 passing yards, 64 touchdowns, and an impressive passer rating. In 2024, he recorded 3,864 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and established a career-high in rushing attempts and touchdowns.
Taking over as the starting quarterback in the 14th week of the 2022 season, Purdy won his first 10 starts, which is among the best starts for any quarterback. By the end of his first full season in 2023, Purdy made his first Pro Bowl and set a franchise record for passing yards in a season (4,280) with a passer rating of 113.0, leading the team to the NFC Championship and a Super Bowl appearance.
