A year ago, travelers could fly non-stop from Boston to Hawaii on Delta Air Lines and Hawaiian Airlines, but this winter both services were suspended. Recently, Delta announced it will resume flights between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) ahead of the 2026 holiday season, reclaiming the title of America’s longest domestic route.
Additionally, Delta will introduce new nonstop flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG). Both routes will operate multiple times a week, with daily flights during peak holiday periods.
Delta is expanding its overall service to Hawaii for next winter, adding more weekly flights from Atlanta, Detroit, and New York, and starting earlier seasonal service from Salt Lake City to Kona. As a result, the New York-Hawaii route will lose its distinction as the longest domestic flight in the U.S.
