The revitalization involves repairing the irrigation system, re-landscaping the area, and replacing some natural grass with durable synthetic turf that can withstand heavy foot traffic. This change is crucial, as the beach’s popularity had diminished the natural grass due to continual use and salty conditions.
Additionally, the plan includes installing safety ambassadors to enhance visitor comfort and address safety concerns, reflecting a broader need for better management at this busy public waterfront.
