The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), with North Rhine-Westphalia’s support, is inviting applications for the 2026 Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) Hub Youth Event. Scheduled for June 4-6, 2026, in Bonn, Germany, the event aims to empower young leaders passionate about climate action.
The ACE Hub initiative supports Article 12 of the Paris Agreement, promoting education and public engagement in climate action. The three-day event will include training sessions, discussions, and a tour of Düsseldorf’s climate initiatives. Participants will gain skills in policy engagement, advocacy, and develop a network for future collaboration.
Eligibility requires applicants to be aged 18-35, fluent in English, and actively involved in climate-related activities. Financial support for travel and accommodation is available for selected participants, along with options for self-funding.
Candidates are selected by the UNFCCC Youth Group based on geographic and gender diversity. The application deadline is April 10, 2026. This initiative is crucial for building a future generation adept at driving climate action and policy change.
