Fun Spot’s spokesman, John Chidester, noted the park’s new airplane attraction is expected to open by Christmas, supporting their strategy of frequently updating attractions to draw visitors.
Orange County Auditor Phil Diamond indicated that the opening of Universal’s Epic Universe has significantly boosted local tourism, with record tourism tax collections totaling $26 million in September and $385 million for the past fiscal year. He emphasized how the park’s success positively impacts the tourism economy.
To further promote Florida, Visit Florida will launch a new advertising campaign, “Floridades,” targeting potential travelers, with 53% of surveyed respondents from key regions indicating plans for a Florida vacation in the next two years.
