Two Michigan homes are leading in a national contest for holiday home tours, as highlighted by USA Today, which features the top 10 historic homes with festive displays. Currently, Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester and the Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores are in the top five.
Meadow Brook Hall, a grand mansion built between 1926 and 1929, previously ranked No. 2 last year. It captivates visitors with its stunning holiday decorations, including massive poinsettia towers, illuminated woodland paths, and a spectacular 1,500-acre property featuring the Holiday Walk and Winter Wonder Lights.
Just behind it, the Ford House, which completed construction in 1928, offers a mile-long pathway through its illuminated gardens and beautifully decorated main residence. The mansion showcases Eleanor Ford’s elegant holiday style.
Voting for the contest is open until December 1, and winners will be announced on December 10. Additionally, the Frederick Meyer Gardens in the west part of the state has also been recognized for its holiday light display.
