OpenAI has introduced a new feature called “Pulse” for ChatGPT, aimed at providing users with personalized daily updates based on their interests. This enhancement allows ChatGPT to actively deliver updates through a calendar-like chat interface, synthesizing information from chat history and user feedback. It currently targets professional mobile users, with future plans to expand to Plus subscribers.
Pulse delivers updates tailored to varied interests, including local news, fitness recommendations, and cryptocurrency information. OpenAI reports that this feature is part of its effort to make ChatGPT more proactive and personalized, as highlighted by CEO Sam Altman.
The demand for AI in finance is growing, particularly among retail investors. A recent survey showed that many use AI for advice on investments and personal finance, especially younger generations. OpenAI warns that while ChatGPT can offer trading tips, users should not rely on it as a sole source for financial decisions.
Users can link Pulse to their Google accounts for additional suggestions and recommendations, enhancing its utility and personalization.
