Haley and Lewis Trow from the UK are on a gap year adventure traveling the world with their 6-year-old daughter, Naira. They left their jobs, homes, and family to create lasting memories, discovering that traveling is cheaper than living in the UK. Their budget ranges from £2,000-3,000 per month, significantly lower than their previous expenses of £4,000-5,000 at home.
Inspired by a prior trip to Australia, the couple sought more time and freedom for Naira, who is receiving online tutoring and is temporarily enrolled in a multicultural school in Bali. They began their journey in Disneyland Paris for Naira’s birthday and then spent four weeks in Italy before heading to Bali, where they will stay until November.
Haley acknowledges the challenges of their unconventional lifestyle but describes it as the best decision they’ve made. The family’s focus is on exploring new places and spending quality time together, trading the stresses of daily life for adventure.
