Drew Feltwell, a Philadelphia Phillies fan, recounted an incident at a game in Miami where he caught a home run ball intended for his son, Lincoln. After celebrating with his family, a woman in a Phillies jersey approached him angrily demanding the ball. Despite his surprise and discomfort, Feltwell decided to avoid confrontation and handed it over. He expressed disappointment about this decision, saying it was important to set an example for his son.
The incident went viral, leading to online investigations into the woman’s identity, referred to as “Philly’s Cullen.” Following the confrontation, she faced boos from other fans. Concurrently, another similar situation arose at the US Open, where a man inadvertently upset a young fan over a souvenir.
The school district in New Jersey issued a statement confirming that the woman involved does not work in their schools, suggesting she could have acted differently had she been connected to the community. Feltwell did not anticipate an apology from the woman and felt she would likely find it difficult to do so.
