Developer Netease Games has announced the upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 3.5, set to launch on August 8. This update features Blade as a playable character, transitioning from an NPC role. Blade, known as the Daywalker, brings his vampire-hunting abilities, including new moves with his shotgun and ancestral sword, allowing players to unleash powerful attacks.
Alongside Blade’s debut, significant changes are coming to team-up abilities. The existing team-ups Guardian Revival and Atlas Bond will be replaced by new ones: Double Dance, featuring Adam Warlock and Luna Snow, and Vibrant Vitality, with Mantis alongside Groot or Loki. Additionally, several existing team-ups are expanded.
Netease is also introducing a feature called “Operation: Shield the Community,” allowing players to mute specific words in text chats. There will also be stricter penalties for players leaving matches, particularly in competitive modes.
Later in the month, new game modes and maps, including a Resource Rumble mode and Throne of Knull, will be added on August 22. Netease continues to adhere to its two-month seasonal release schedule, aiming to deliver new content quickly based on player feedback.
