Relatives involved in the search for the disappeared expressed feelings of insecurity and frustration with authorities’ inaction. Over 120,000 people are reported missing in Mexico, with the search groups frequently uncovering evidence of forced recruitment and murders tied to organized crime. Recent investigations at the Teucitlan ranch revealed disturbing findings, including mass graves and body fragments, indicating ongoing cartel violence in the region.
The Jalisco State Prosecutor acknowledged inadequate previous investigative efforts, while families continue to search for their loved ones amid fears and dangers posed by the cartels.
